InstaKey® supplies three different types of lock cylinders:
Small Format Interchangeable Cores
Interchangeable cores are figure 8 cylinders that can be removed from the lock hardware with the use of a control key. No additional tools, hardware, or re-pinning are required to change cores.
There are many available figure 8 shapes and sizes throughout the industry, but small format interchangeable cores (SFIC) fit directly into locks and locksets designed to accommodate cores of Falcon, Arrow, Best, Schlage SFIC, Medeco Keymark, etc.

Conventional Cylinders
Conventional circular cylinders are designed to retrofit into an assortment of manufacturer's standard cylinder locksets (Corbin-Russwin, Sargent, Schlage, Medeco, Yale, etc.).
InstaKey® can provide key-n-knob, mortise, and rim cylinders for all types of door configurations.

High Security Cylinders
The InstaKey® Security System utilizes Medeco-InstaKey® Biaxial cylinders for high security applications. These cylinders are designed to utilize two levels of biaxial key cutting (angled cuts), restricted keyways, and drill resistant housings. These cylinders can be supplied in standard line, removable core, or plug only configurations.
